Questions
What people ask before they book
What do I wear?
Loose, soft clothes you can bend in, such as trousers and a plain top. You stay in them the whole session, and we give you a blanket if you want one.
Am I covered the whole time?
You are clothed the whole time. Nothing is removed and nothing is uncovered.
What is Thai massage?
A hands-on tradition from Thailand, done on a floor mat with pressure from palms, thumbs and forearms and slow, guided stretches. It is done clothed and dry.
Do I need to be flexible?
No. Every stretch goes only as far as you choose, and we skip any you would rather not do.
Can I say no to a stretch?
Yes, at any time. We show each one first, and "not today" is a full answer.
How do I set the pressure?
We ask before we start and again partway. Say lighter or firmer whenever you like.
What happens at a first visit?
You take off your shoes, we show you to the mat room and ask about pressure and areas to leave alone, and then the session starts. There is a short intake on the booking page beforehand.
How long should I book?
Sixty minutes is a common first session; forty-five is a gentler start. Ninety and a hundred and twenty minutes give time for the whole body.
Should I tip?
Tipping is welcome and never expected.
What if I am ill or pregnant?
Ask your doctor or midwife before you book, and tell your therapist when you arrive. If you are ill on the day, tell us and we will move your session.
How does pricing work?
It follows the length of the session, and the booking page shows the price before you confirm. The details are on the how pricing works page.
